Success Story: Coffman Engineers

Expanding from rooftop solar to utility-scale projects with RatedPower and PRISM

OCT 26, 26

Coffman Engineers is a US-based multidiscipline engineering firm founded in 1979. When the team began large-scale solar-to-hydrogen work, their existing software was built for rooftop solar and couldn’t handle utility-scale projects. Coffman now uses PRISM and RatedPower to assess acreage and power potential, and to generate preliminary PV and battery storage designs quickly, so the team can test and refine options for their clients.

“When I look at RatedPower, you’re able to rapidly generate designs at a preliminary level for utility-scale PV and also battery storage. Offering that ability to rapidly iterate on our designs for our customers and clients is fantastic.” — Justin Freeman - Vice President of Energy at Coffman Engineers
